Congress site: International
Summer Academy Granada
The academy is recognized under the auspices of the International
Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes
(IAGP) and the DAGG (organization for group psychotherapy
and group work in Germany). Besides the academy is based
on a network cooperation between Italian (COIRAG), Spanish
(AEP), Portuguese (SPP) and Austrian (ÖAGG) group associations.
The Summer Academy establishes a professional link between
theory and practice of important approaches of
group psychotherapy and group work at an international level:
group analysis, psychodrama and group dynamics. The facilitation
of intercultural competence embarks besides the format of
self-exprience therapeutic procedures, supervision and organizational
counselling.
An international trainer staff is running each year the
workshops. Last years staff comprise: Marcia Karp/GB, Prof.
Sabar Rustomjee/ Australia, Dr. Teresa Sommeragu-Howard/GB,
Dr. Catherine Mela/Greece, Dr. Malcolm Pines/GB, Maite Pi/Spain,
U. Levin/ Israel, Prof. M. Gasseau/Italy, Dr. J. Fonseca/Brazil,
Prof. E Rohr/ Germany, Dr. J.-A. Espina-Barrios/Spain, Dr.
W. Scategni/ Italy, J. Huber/Switzerland, U. Hauser/Costa
Rica, Prof. Maurizio Peciccia and others.
The experiential encounter creates the essence of a shared
culture of the group which is able to put the tyranny
of differences of language, approach or culture into
question. As dialogue is the key term for peace processes
at a global level the summer academy is destinated to create
a living learning field for the quality, but also for the
fragile points of a multicultural dialogue.
The cultural agency of the Junta de Andalucía and
the Institute for Peace and Conflict Investigation of the
University of Granada support officially the academy and
its organization.
